If you’ve been following this blog recently you will be aware that I am getting ready to take part in my first ever 10k run. After taking a break to let my knee rest I have been back out pounding the streets and getting in shape for the race. A happy by-product of the running has been that it has given me time to think about my writing while I’m out there clocking up the miles. As a result I recently wrote a story about running (well they say write what you know!) which I submitted to Shortbread Short stories for their Olympic themed competition. Much to my surpise I actually won!
